So, here’s what I know:

There are cases online of "homebrewers" who make biodiesel to fuel their diesel-engine cars.

Farms in general a lot of diesel engines.

People commercially sell biodiesel, but many farms don’t make biodiesel themselves.

Gas prices are going up, and depending on the system, the costs of making biodiesel (initial setup, methanol, lye/potash) can be lower than the price at the pump.

If farms have some restaurants or food chains nearby, would it make sense for them to use the cooking grease and make biodiesel to fuel their equipment?

Do you know which companies show the most promise in these emerging fields? Thanks for any guidance.

Currently, rainforests are being destroyed to grow sugar to make biofuel. Corn is being grown to make ethanol. Why? Biofuel can be made from cooking oil.

For instance, if you had a mixture of methanol and ethanol or isopropanol, would you be able to use it to separate the glycerine? I ask because i need to extract glycerine from vegetable oil to make tinctures for teetotalers and i may not be able to obtain pure methanol.

Brother is trying to decide between purchasing a diesel or a gas car.

I have found a site that boasts no engine modifications needed as well as by using their additive, you can use restaurant grease to fuel any diesel engine. Is that possible or true?

What items do i need to make a BioFuel kit? (but i dont want to buy the kit)
What would i need get to make the whole thing like (lye, pumps, tanks, hoses etc…

if u could help it would be great
thanks

I’m doing a science experiment and wanting to test the efficiency of both biodiesel and diesel fuels and wondering if there is some sorta stove that can burn both to be able to have the same settings and get results.

If anyone saw the episode of Pimp My Ride with red muscle car that ran on biodiesel, what kind of engine was it? Does that fuel run on any regular diesel engine, is it a different engine, or do you need to modify the diesel engine?

I know that ethanol is generally mixed with gasoline
and bio-diesel cut with Diesel , the question really is I guess is could you mix bio diesel with regular gas rather then diesel and get ethanol I just don’t get it?
